LOCAL NON-PROFIT TO RECEIVE GRANT FROM Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Mahoning Valley & Western PA

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO (November 12, 2013)…At 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley in Boardman board members from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mahoning Valley & Western Pennsylvania helped local children through a cash grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley to expand the mentoring program to additional elementary and high school students in the Mahoning Valley.  The presentation was held at the McFamily Respite Center located at 6505 Market Street, Boardman 44512.

Big Brothers Big Sisters expects this expansion of the site-based mentoring program to additional schools will benefit an additional 500 school students in the Mahoning Valley by matching big brothers/sisters with little brothers/sisters.

"We’re excited to be a part of a program which helps give children a much brighter future, and offer the  vital support to this outstanding program that advances Ronald McDonald House Charities’ mission of lifting children to a better tomorrow,” said Herb Washington, RMHC Board President and McDonald's Owner/Operator.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley received $5,000 to reach more valley children in need of a mentor.
